BOAT STORAGE RATES:

Indoor Protection Rates (Sept to May Indoor, pickup or delivery by June 1):

Typical Trailerable Boats (Up to 8.5 feet beam) $2.50 sq ft -or- $20 per feet nominal boat length

Wide Beam Cruisers: $2.50 sq ft (Indoor or Outdoor Shrinkwrap)

WINTERIZATION (OFF-SEASON LAY-UP):

Basic Instructions on Winterization of 2-Stroke Carbuerated Outboard Motors:

1. TREAT FUEL: Put Ethynol-capatible fuel stabilizer in gas tank and in fuel filter, Start Engine and let it run through engine.
2. RUN OUT OF FUEL: Disconnect fuel line. (DO NOT RUN OIL INJECTED ENGINES OR EFI-DFI INDUCTION OUT OF GAS. SEE NOTE BELOW)
3. FOG ENGINE INTAKE: As Motor runs out of fuel, spray fogging oil into the carb throats to coat internal parts to prevent corrosion from dew (NOT EFI-DFI)
4. NOTE: Dripless snap-on fuel connectors air-lock fuel in the hoses that can gum your motor - break the airlock as you run engine out of fuel to purge all fuel
5. Look for places where any moisture collects and spray corrosion inhibitor on those areas.
6. FOG CYLINDERS: Remove Spark Plugs and Spray 1 oz oil in each cylinder and crank engine over to distribute with Safety lanyard Off to prevent spark ignition, replace sparkplugs.
7. GEARLUBE: Drain lower unit and refill from bottom plug with correct lube (check color and texture)
8. GREASE: Grease fittings on Motor & Steering.
9. Remove propeller and grease prop shaft (especially Salt Water applications). Make sure there is no fishing mono-filament line wrapped around shaft
10. Check and top off power trim fluid
11. Drain bilge so drain plug cannot freeze and pooled water pop floor out of boat. (Leave boat drain plug out in convenient area for spring installation)
12. Clean top of battery and posts to prevent slow draw, and charge battery to 100% & remove wires to prevent drain - store battery in cool, dry area.
13. Alternate: Slow charge battery to specific gravity & use a automatic Float charger with correct less than 1 amp float charge all off season.

NOTE: ON OIL INJECTED ENGINES and EFI ENGINES, HIGH SPEED PUMP and OIL PUMP CAN BE AFFECTED BY RUNNING OUT OF FUEL - SEE DEALER
